MY WHY

Ever since I was a kid, I knew I wanted to be an artist. My dad was an architect so he liked to teach me about shapes, colors, form vs. function, and basic design problems… Honestly I thought I would be an architect just like him, but then the Internet broke out.

Growing up alongside the Internet evolution, I witnessed websites and applications changing shapes and forms in incredible ways - starting from composites of just rectangular blocks to more complex, well-thought-out visuals and structures. The whole process is always so curious and inspiring because not just the technologies but design standards, taste, and users’ mental model constantly change. Sometimes, I would find myself wandering online, impressed by a random website’s cool parallax effect, or perturbed by some questionable use of colors. It’s quite inexplicable, but sleek designs and smooth interactions make me feel wildly happy and appreciative of the beautiful and magical intertwinement of Arts and Science. I too, want to create designs that make users happy.
